What did they want to achieve?
The States of Guernsey set out to find a Dynamics CRM partner that could help them decommission an on-premise version 4.0 copy of CRM and move them to Dynamics CRM 365 on the cloud.
Corefocus were selected from this process to help the department design and build a new CRM process to handle the registration and management of Accommodation Permits that are required by law for all organisations providing temporary accommodation for reward within the Bailiwick of Guernsey.
Dynamics CRM 365 hosted and managed by Microsoft within the States of Guernsey’s Office 365 subscription was chosen for the solution.
We also implemented the new Microsoft Portals technology to provide an integrated CRM based self-service platform. This technology was previously known as ADX Studio before being fully acquired by Microsoft.
As well as the CRM back-office operations Corefocus also developed processes to help generate the physical accommodation permits that each accommodation supplier must show at their residence. This we designed and built using SQL Server Reporting Services and PowerBI.
The final elements of the CRM platform deal with tourism enquiries from members of the public considering visiting the Bailiwick of Guernsey.
How did it benefit them?
The whole solution significantly reduced the manual procedures and paperwork within the department allowing authorised users to apply and manage permit applications via the new self-service portal.
